New Tenant Makes Premier Hay; Brings New Approach to Farming
Geneva, NY -- The Cornell Agriculture & Food Technology Park has announced that Top Quality Hay Processors, LLC, has joined its roster of tenants. The new company aims to become the premier top-quality hay processor by using a new way to harvest the crop that is faster than traditional methods. They will supply hay to the equine market in the United States and Asia.
Firm partners, Jeff Warren, Michael Kunes, John Davie, Charles Long, Neil Simmons and Mark Wickham have more than 42 years of farming experience. Their processing technique allows farmers to get 100 percent of the alfalfa that grows and uses a patent-pending hay-drying process. This process reduces processing time from five days to one.
”Top Quality Hay Processors aims to put New York State on the map as the leader in premier hay,” said Steve Isaacs, executive director, Cornell Agriculture & Food Technology Park. “We look forward to supporting their efforts to showcase their products and their unique processing technology.”
